In the early 20th century, Deerfield's Cornelius Kelley applied his blacksmithing skills to the creation of Arts and Crafts objects intended for domestic use. Kelley's pair of adjustable wrought iron floor candelabra is a good example. They have an emphasis on hand craftsmanship and a design focus on balance, symmetry and naturalistic line that would have appealed to customers enamored with the Arts and Crafts aesthetic.
